Enserv now provides rental of AGI's SuperSting R8/Marine - Marine Logging System. The R8 Marine produces resistivity imaging (marine ERI) in the shallow marine environment.
SuperSting R8 Marine Marine Logging System
AGI has developed a new marine option of the famous SuperSting. The system comprises the SuperSting Marine, the Marine Log Manager software and an electrode towing cable.
AGI Supersting R8 Marine
The SuperSting Marine continuously records and stores data from a GPS receiver. Current is injected every 3 seconds and 8 apparent resistivity values representing 8 depth levels are read for each current injection. Depth of penetration depends on length of the cable and array type. Typically you will see down to aproximately 20% of the electrode spread length.
Towed Marine ERI Principal
The Marine Log Manager software allows you to edit the recorded data, plot the boat track and the resistivity data on an imported map image and to format the data for the inversion software. Electrode positions can also be converted to UTM coordinates.
The marine package includes a marine stringer with 6 meter and 12 meter spacing and WAAS GPS.
Renters must provide equipment or inland marine rental insurance covering all equipment for full value with the equipment owner as an additional insured. Evidence of liability, workman's compensation and auto (if applicable) insurance also required. Prior training and experience is required for rental of some of the listed equipment.
